Muslim Youth Leadership 2026

Calling all high school students! Are you interested in advocating for change within your school or community? MYLI is where you need to be this August! The Muslim Youth Leadership Intensive is an annual intensive designed to equip the next generation of Muslim high school leaders with the skills, confidence, and knowledge to create meaningful change.

This immersive one-day experience takes students behind the scenes of New Jersey's government with an exclusive visit to the New Jersey State House, where participants will explore how laws are made and engage in hands-on civic leadership activities. Throughout the day, students will strengthen their leadership skills, connect with peers from across New Jersey, hear from inspiring professionals, and gain practical tools they can apply in their schools and communities. Light breakfast, lunch and dinner are all included.

Registration: $30 per student

A valid student ID or state-issued ID is required to enter the New Jersey State House.

All required forms must be completed and returned to dmajid@cair.com by August 21.

Parent Orientation (Virtual)

Parents are required to attend one of the following Zoom sessions:

• August 25 at 1:00 PM
• August 26 at 6:00 PM

During the orientation, we'll review the event schedule, transportation, expectations, packing list, and answer any questions.

Students must attend the entire program to receive their Certificate of Completion.

Part I – Civic Leadership at the New Jersey State House

📍 Location: New Jersey State House, Trenton

8:45 AM – Check-In & Light Breakfast (Please allow extra time for State House security screening.)

Part II – Expanding Your Horizons

📍 Location: The College of New Jersey (TCNJ)

• Asr Prayer

• Career Pane
• Quiz Bowl with MISTNJ
• Certificate Ceremony
